What is Cypherock X1?
The Cypherock X1 is a seedless hardware wallet that eliminates the single point of failure in crypto security. Your private key is split across 1 X1 Vault and 4 X1 Cards — you need any 2 of these 5 parts to access your funds. No seed phrase to write down, lose, or expose. You can learn more here.
Can I still see my seed phrase if I want to?
Yes. Cypherock X1 allows you to view the seed phrase of any wallet secured by it. With the X1 Vault and any one X1 Card, you can view the seed phrase and transfer assets to any BIP39-compatible wallet. Here is the video guide.
Is Cypherock X1 open source?
Yes, Cypherock X1 is fully open source. You can view the repository at github.com/cypherock.
What happens if Cypherock goes out of business?
Your funds remain safe regardless. Cypherock X1 is open source, so the software survives independently. Additionally, with any X1 Vault and one X1 Card you can view your seed phrase and move assets to any BIP39-compatible wallet. We're also building an open-source mobile app to recover the seed phrase using any 2 X1 Cards directly via NFC.
